As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns, support access control and visitor flows, and remain visible as a professional presence. You will communicate clearly, document activities, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a retail and/or mall location by following site-specific policies, completing security-related procedures, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout interior areas, exterior perimeters, parking areas, and loading or delivery zones to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance to staff, tenants, customers, and/or visitors as needed.
• Monitor access points and key areas, observe for suspicious behavior or policy violations, and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate findings during shift transitions, and escalate issues through the appropriate chain of command.
