As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-end retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and support shoppers and staff with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will document security-related activity, respond to concerns, and work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, addressing concerns professionally and reporting issues per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with management and local law enforcement as needed.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
