Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Exterior Rounds in Pasadena, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and report concerns clearly, while delivering a welcoming customer service presence for employees and visitors. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout office areas, building access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Monitor security-related systems and activity, including cameras, alarms, and access control, and report irregular conditions and/or unauthorized activity according to site procedures.
- Complete required reports such as daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel to support ongoing security-related operations.
