Security Officer - Foot Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Riviera Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a critical utilities location as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring grounds and facilities, conducting routine rounds, and staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and provide professional customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. Requirements
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, and perimeter routes, noting unusual conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry using site procedures, including checking identification, logging visitors, and/or directing deliveries to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or public responders as directed.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation for security-related events, hazards, and/or policy concerns, and communicate updates to supervision.
