Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic higher-education location, where you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control at key entry points. You will communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations. Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and requesting police, medical, and/or maintenance support when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence halls, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor check-in, ID verification, directions, and reporting concerns related to unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
- Complete shift documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and activity reports, and communicate key information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
