Join Allied Universal on an education campus as an unarmed Patrol Officer, where you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public resources as needed.
- Control access where assigned by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when required, and directing visitors to appropriate offices and/or locations.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
