As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, data hall support areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
  • Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as cameras and alarms, documenting observations and reporting irregularities per post orders.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoff communications to support continuity of site operations.
