As a Front Desk Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet employees, drivers, and visitors, manage access and badging, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will be a visible, professional first point of contact who helps support smooth operations through customer service, teamwork, and integrity, while staying agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first.

Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access by greeting visitors and drivers, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and notifying site contacts of arrivals.
  • Monitor front desk systems such as phones, radios, and security-related alarms and/or cameras, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as visitor entries, deliveries and pickups, and incident documentation in a timely, detailed manner.
