As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visibly present to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and assist with access points as needed, delivering a professional customer service experience. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter incidents.
- Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and assist with visitor and vendor routing consistent with site requirements.
- Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations during shift turnovers, and support investigations by preserving notes and information for follow-up.
