As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will manage access control by welcoming associates and visitors, verifying credentials, and tracking entries and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and responding partners. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, confirming authorization for employees, contractors, and visitors, and issuing temporary credentials as needed.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound activity by logging visitors and vendors, directing drivers to designated areas, and verifying appointments and/or delivery paperwork per site procedures.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, document unusual activity, and report concerns according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of building areas, parking areas, and the perimeter as assigned.
