As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to concerns with clear communication, and document observations using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, guests, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns and escalating to property management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading docks, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, vandalism, and/or policy violations, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate via radio and/or phone, and support Allied Universal shift turnover with accurate pass-down information.
