As an unarmed patrol Security Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial properties, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting and reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear direction to visitors and/or coordinating with site management and public responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and building activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and assist with traffic flow and/or tenant move-ins as directed by site policy.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations during shift transitions, and support security-related investigations when requested.
