As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will support access control by greeting drivers and visitors, verifying credentials, and coordinating entry and exit while providing strong customer service. You will complete patrols and security-related checks around the site, document activity, and communicate concerns to the team. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license that meets AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entrances and vehicle gates by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing drivers, employees, and guests to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound truck traffic and shipping activity by logging arrivals and departures, confirming delivery and pickup information, and reporting unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
