As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; document observations and report irregular conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site contacts and public agency personnel as appropriate.
  • Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification and/or authorization, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals to the proper destination.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate pass-down information to the next officer, and support investigations by preserving observations and available video and/or access control information.
