As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with clear communication and service. You will complete routine rounds, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, document observations, and use technology to report activity. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Have CPR certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and store associates by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas as directed, and the exterior perimeter and parking areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter loitering, shoplifting, and/or other unauthorized activity; report concerns to onsite management and/or dispatch per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting crowd control and customer disputes while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete accurate documentation such as activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations and/or hazards to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
