As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, offering a role where teamwork and a people-first culture make a daily impact.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility grounds, buildings, and perimeter areas to help to identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors or gates, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verifying identification, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals according to site-specific requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and actions taken and/or notifying appropriate site contacts.
  • Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
