As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication and customer service, backed by a caring culture, teamwork, integrity, and innovative, reliable service.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, tenants, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including offices, common areas, loading or receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, maintaining a professional presence and directing people to appropriate locations within the site.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts.
