As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and entertainment location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist guests with directions and concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Having customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and entertainment location.
- Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per site requirements.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor cameras, entrances, and access points; verify credentials and/or authorized access as directed by site policy and management.
- Support crowd management and special events by providing visible presence, giving directions, coordinating with local authorities and/or emergency services when requested, and reporting hazards or maintenance issues through the proper channels.
