As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and support access control by checking credentials and badges. You will communicate clearly, document security-related activity, and deliver customer service with integrity. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-visibility aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Control access at gates, lobbies, and restricted areas by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor check-in, and directing individuals per site-specific requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and access control systems as assigned, and report irregular conditions or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, provide clear instructions to involved parties, and complete detailed incident reports and activity logs.
