As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and media location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, assist employees and visitors with directions and access questions, and partner with onsite teams. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and media workplace.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points and key areas for unusual activity, report concerns through the chain of command, and document routine and non-routine activity as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing people to appropriate resources, and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation using site systems and/or written forms while maintaining professional communication with coworkers, clients, and the public.
