As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government location, you will greet visitors, conduct entry screening, verify credentials, and manage access points while monitoring activity and reporting concerns. You will complete routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, delivering clear communication and respectful customer service. Requirements

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific, security-related procedures and policies at a government location, including access control and visitor processing.
  • Screen people and authorized items entering the facility using screening protocols and equipment such as walk-through detectors, hand wands, and/or X-ray systems, and escalate prohibited items per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with onsite personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns for reporting.
  • Complete required logs and reports, document screening results and incidents, and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and onsite partners.
