As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will welcome visitors at a high-traffic healthcare and/or financial services location, verify identification and credentials, manage entry screening, and monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will communicate clearly, document activity, and collaborate with site teams to help reduce incidents while delivering a customer-focused experience. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities while screening staff, visitors, and deliveries at assigned entrances.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and/or appointment information; manage visitor sign-in and issue temporary passes in accordance with site requirements.
  • Conduct entry screening such as visual inspections, package screening, and/or use of screening equipment as trained; help to deter prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate screening results and unusual activity to on-site personnel, and perform occasional interior and/or exterior patrols to support a visible presence.
