Job Description As a Security Officer - Screening Desk in Jeffersonville, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic tech and communications location, you will monitor access points, conduct professional screening and ID checks, and support security-related procedures that help reduce incidents. You will remain highly visible, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and document activity with attention to detail. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and employees by following site-specific policies and security-related procedures at a technology location.
  • Screen and verify employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries using approved access control methods, badging processes, and/or screening tools as required by the site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Monitor entry points, queues, and adjacent areas for unusual activity and report concerns to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and screening documentation, and communicate key information to the Allied Universal supervisor and site contacts.
