You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution environment.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, trailer parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
- Monitor access points and control entry for employees, contractors, and drivers by verifying credentials, directing traffic flow, and documenting deliveries and/or visitor activity per post orders.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance to site personnel and contacting emergency services as required.
- Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant activity to supervisors and site contacts, and use Allied Universal systems for logging, radio communications, and/or notifications as needed.
