Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Patrol in Wichita, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service. You will document observations, assist with access points, and respond to routine needs with a calm, people-first approach. Requirements

  • This position is at a hospital vaccine site.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy issues.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders when needed.
  • Monitor and help manage visitor flow and access points, including verifying authorization, providing directions, and enforcing site rules related to restricted areas and after-hours entry.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual activity in written reports and electronic systems, escalating concerns through the chain of command per site-specific instructions.
