As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols across sales floors, entrances, and parking areas, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support customer service needs, and document observations and incidents using site systems. Requirements

A New York State Security Guard License is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with customer issues and disturbances in a retail location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading zones and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Monitor for suspicious activity, potential theft indicators and policy violations, then report observations and escalate concerns through established communication channels.
Complete required reports and documentation for incidents, patrols, hazards and service calls, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
