As a Front Desk Officer at a utilities location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, monitor security-related systems, and communicate clearly when support is needed. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue temporary credentials when authorized, manage sign-in and sign-out logs, and direct guests and vendors to the appropriate contacts.
  • Monitor access control systems, cameras, and alarms from the reception area; report unusual activity and/or maintenance issues per site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving calls for assistance, notifying site leadership and/or emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required reports and shift logs, communicate key information during shift transitions, and assist with administrative tasks such as phone coverage and package deliveries according to site guidelines.
