You will conduct routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Security experience of 6+ months is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access expectations, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter; document notable conditions and report maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from property management and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor activity in and around the property for unusual behavior, potential policy violations, and/or suspicious conditions to help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate key information during post transitions, and maintain a professional presence consistent with site expectations.
