As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer-first service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances and exits, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire alarms per post orders.
• Help to deter theft and/or disorder by maintaining a visible presence, observing shopper behavior, and promptly reporting suspicious activity to store leadership and/or local law enforcement when appropriate.
• Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and patrol findings, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and site contacts.
