As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe conditions, document activities, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while delivering standout customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility operations areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or work authorization as required, and document entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from on-site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts, and follow post orders for reporting and escalation.
