As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, assist staff and visitors with friendly customer service, and communicate observations to your team. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions such as unauthorized entry or unsecured doors, and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed written reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and other required records, and relay important information during shift transitions.
