As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, respond to requests, and communicate clearly while documenting observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as corridors, lobbies, waiting areas, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, help to verify authorization, and report suspicious behavior and/or hazards according to post orders and reporting requirements.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and observations, and communicate relevant updates during post handoff to support continuity of operations.
