As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will interact with shoppers and store teams, provide clear communication, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor for irregular conditions such as unsecured doors, loitering, suspicious behavior, and/or property concerns, and report findings to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management, de-escalation, and coordinating with local responders as directed.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and customer interactions, and communicate updates promptly to supervisors and/or client representatives.
