As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disruptive behavior, lost children and/or property concerns per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, corridors, loading areas, parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards and/or maintenance issues, and complete detailed written reports, incident documentation and activity logs.
• Monitor cameras, alarms and/or access points as assigned, communicate by radio and/or phone, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or onsite management when needed.
