As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support associates and shoppers with courteous service. You will conduct routine rounds, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly while maintaining a calm, professional presence. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including observing, documenting, and communicating conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entry and exit points, stock areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential theft indicators, and/or disturbances; assist with access control and queue or crowd concerns during peak shopping periods.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents, and coordinate with on-site management and/or local authorities when required.
