As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist customers and team members with clear communication, observe and report concerns, and support onsite operations with professionalism. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disturbances, and suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, stock areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Monitor for theft-related activity and policy violations, help to deter unwanted behavior through high-visibility presence, and document observations and incidents according to site procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas as assigned, assist with de-escalation when needed, and maintain clear communication with store management and local responders as directed.
