As an unarmed patrol officer in a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet residents and visitors with strong customer service, communicate clearly with your team, and document observations using a computer or tablet. Requirements

  • Have 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential care setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying onsite leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring doors and entry points, greeting and directing visitors, and assisting with visitor sign-in procedures per location requirements.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and patrol activities in a timely manner, including communicating unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
