Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and onsite staff while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, amenities, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting property management and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Control access where assigned by monitoring entry points, verifying resident and guest access, and assisting with visitor directions and inquiries.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns such as lighting outages or unsecured doors, and communicate updates to site contacts per post orders.
