As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and provide strong customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have CPR certification, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized persons.
  • Control access by monitoring gates, doors, and/or visitor check-in processes as assigned, verifying authorization and directing visitors, contractors, and employees to the appropriate areas.
  • Complete required reports and logs, including incident documentation and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
