As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access control and badge activity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to riders, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vendor check-in processes, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or restricted-area access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or medical-related calls, and coordinate with local public service agencies as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate significant issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
