Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, provide directions and assistance, and support orderly operations in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, patrol activity, and daily operations, and assist with follow-up related to security-related matters as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
