Requirements

A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, provide directions and assistance, and support orderly operations in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, patrol activity, and daily operations, and assist with follow-up related to security-related matters as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
