As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access points and visitor flow. You will document observations, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and deliver customer-focused service. Requirements

• Experience providing customer service is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation and logistics location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, including parking areas, trailer and tractor staging, loading docks, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points such as gates and entry lanes, verify authorization for drivers and deliveries, and direct traffic flow in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and medical situations, and request assistance when needed.
• Document patrols, inspections, and incidents in written logs and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
