As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and high-visibility rounds to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and support access control and badge processes. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, so you will also patrol by vehicle, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver customer service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, notifying appropriate personnel, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access to designated areas by observing entry points, verifying authorization when required, and assisting with visitor directions and/or wayfinding.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support security-related audits and checks as assigned.
