As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge processes as needed. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver a strong customer experience. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related protocols, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or public services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, including checks of gates, fences, and critical equipment areas.
  • Monitor and document site activity, including patrol observations, unusual conditions, and maintenance concerns, and complete required reports and logs in a timely manner.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, directing deliveries to approved locations, and helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
