As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols and visible checks throughout the property to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will respond to resident and/or guest concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team, bringing an agile, reliable, and caring approach grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate needed information to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and community gates where applicable, verify authorization for entry, and assist with visitor and vendor access procedures in accordance with site policy.
  • Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity notes, and report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious conditions observed during patrols.
