As a Security Officer assigned to an access control post at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your responsibilities. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Perform access control duties by verifying credentials of personnel and visitors entering the chemical or petrochemical facility.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Follow location-specific procedures related to security-related incidents and emergencies.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with site-specific questions and access needs.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for security-related concerns.
Document and report any observed irregularities, security-related incidents, or violations of site policies to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any potential hazards or unusual conditions at the location.
