Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to reports, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post, supporting coverage across the site. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Complete shift reports and activity logs, communicate security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision, and support loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting suspicious behavior.
