As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols and frequent vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and tenants with strong customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or hazards, and take appropriate action to help to deter issues by maintaining a visible presence and providing clear directions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public services as needed.
- Complete written and/or electronic reports including patrol logs, incident reports, and observations, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or site management.
