Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, assist shoppers and tenants with directions and concerns, and document observations clearly. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disturbances, and/or lost property reports.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and/or other required documentation, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or local responders when appropriate.
