As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist guests and associates with clear communication, report concerns, and support a welcoming shopping experience. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Wed 10:00 AM - 05:00 PM Thur 10:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, disturbances, lost children, medical situations and/or alarms.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism and/or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and associate activity, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations to store management and Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete required reports and documentation, communicate incident information to appropriate personnel and assist with closing and opening procedures as directed by site policies.
